About

I’m an award-winning journalist, editorial strategist, and content writer with more than 20 years of experience writing for national publications, recognized media brands, healthcare organizations, financial institutions, and business platforms.

I provide senior-level writing support by assignment for editors, content managers, communications teams, and brands that need polished editorial work without a long consulting engagement.

My work has appeared in or been created for media outlets and brands including CountryLiving.com, Woman’s Day, TODAY, Forbes, Yahoo!, Next Avenue, Barn Raiser, Northern Trust, CreditUnions.com, NorthBay Health, Healthgrades, TrustedChoice.com, PayPal, Amex Business Intel, Synovus, Chime, LendingTree, Allstate's esurance, Intuit, eMoney Advisor, MetLife, New York Life, The Hartford, Travelers Insurance, Trulia, The Mortgage Reports, Hertz, Diners Club, CORT Rental Furniture, and others including those in community finance.

My work draws on more than 20 years of writing, interviewing, research, source evaluation, and editorial decision-making. I bring trained judgment to assignments where the challenge is not only producing clean copy, but understanding the material, the audience, the stakes, and the story the evidence can honestly support.

A Client's Perspective

"We appreciated Dahna’s hard work and wisdom. She understood our organization’s mission, objectives, and communications challenges. She consistently applied her wide loan industry knowledge, understanding of our core constituents, and communications expertise to offer us comprehensive thought partnership, content strategy, and cornerstone content designed to meet them. We learned so much from her and were thrilled to have her as part of our team!"

    My Background

I’m a graduate of Wellesley College and hold a master’s degree in corporate communications from Georgetown University. I began my career as a journalist and built my writing practice across consumer media, finance, healthcare, business, and brand publishing. My work often sits where editorial standards, audience needs, and organizational goals meet.

Among other audiences, I’ve written for broad consumer audiences, specialized business readers, healthcare consumers, financial services audiences, small business owners, older adults, and women navigating major life, health, money, and home decisions.

The throughline is simple: I help turn ideas, interviews, research, and assignment briefs into finished editorial assets that are clear, useful, credible, and ready for publication.
